Summer Kick-Off Family Camp

All ages

Please join us for 2-days and 1-night of camping, connection, and fun. We encourage the whole family to take part, but youth (8-17) may also attend on their own. Activities offered include: arts and crafts, adventure (paddling and rock climbing), group games, and evening campfire. All food will be provided and shared communally. Camping gear provided upon request based on availability.

June 10 and 11 (10am Friday to 5pm Saturday)

Suggested donation: $35-50 per person per day

Hunter, Gatherer, Maker

Ages 9-12 (separate girls and boys groups)

This is our signature team-building, nature connection-based summer offering. Lead by long-time 1Rev guides, youth will wild-up on the Monday and Tuesday and then set off on the Wednesday morning for 2 nights of camping and nature-based fun, returning to Sebastopol on Friday at 5:00. This program is steadily grounding a generation of local youth in the simple joys of nature and friendship. Each week with have a unique thematic and programmatic element, so we encourage families to consider multiple camps!

Backcountry Nature Connection

Ages 12-14 and 15-18 (co-ed with important time in gender specific groups)

This 5-day wilderness-based program offers youth an opportunity to deepen their connection with the natural world and hone mindfulness practices, learn primitive skills, and meet both individual and small group challenges within a supportive group culture. Suitable for all, but specifically inspired to meet youth who are motivated to take important next steps in their relationship to the natural world.

Introduction to Alpine Mountaineering

Ages 12-14 and 15-18 (gender composition of groups based on registration)

Nothing says summer like a week in the Sierra Nevada wilderness. This multi-element backpacking trip will immerse youth in the essentials of wilderness travel as they share the joy and simplicity of trail life. Each week includes a rock climbing component, peak ascent, and a day of whitewater rafting. Participants will take away lasting friendships, increased self-confidence, and an appreciation for both the natural world and their home life.

Pacific Crest Leadership

Ages 12-18 (co-ed with important time in age and gender specific groups)

The ultimate summer adventure! Participants will climb one the Oregon Cascades’ great peaks as part of a 4-day backpacking expedition. After a day recuperating in the local hot springs youth will take turns captaining rafts and piloting inflatable kayaks on a 3-day whitewater expedition down the wild and scenic McKenzie River. This trip will challenge each participant to further define their vision of personal sustainability and hone their unique leadership style as they meet the adventure of a lifetime.

July 5-14

Santa Cruz Adventure

Ages 12-14 and 15-18 (co-ed with important time in gender specific groups)

This end of summer adventure will immerse participants in the wonders of Monterrey Bay and the Santa Cruz mountains. Beach activities include boogie boarding, surfing, and stand-up paddling. Land activities include rock climbing and a 2-day backpacking expedition. Fast-paced with fun and challenge around every corner, this trip is bound to put an exclamation mark on the end of summer.

August 15-19

1Rev Theater Camp

Ages 7-18

Lead by Brian Bryson of Walking Elephant Theater Company, this fun, week-long program will give each participant a chance to build their creative chops as a cast member of an original play.  The camp will meet daily from 9-4 and culminate with an overnight campout on Friday the 19th, followed by a community presentation and celebration at noon on Saturday the 20th. As participants step into their role, they'll help craft a memorable blueprint of teamwork and personal expression.

1Rev Caterpillar Camp

Back by popular demand! Caterpillar Camp, lead by Rebecca Rusoff and Kirsten DeBoer, has a knack for helping kids of all ages build friendships and find joy in the natural world. Children, 3-8, will enjoy nature-based crafts, storytelling, games, and group fun. Taking place at Ragle Ranch Park, each session will have a unique thematic focus. Older 1Revolution participants interested in earning money toward one of our other summer trips are encouraged to apply for a Youth Guide position with the camp. 

Each session takes place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-1.
